Children and youth FAITH EXPLORATION

• Faith Exploration is held at 9am on Sunday mornings and is open to everyone – members and non-members of WUMC - we hope you'll bring a friend!
• Attendance is suited to your family schedule; no pressure.
• Parents/caregivers may attend an Adult Class, volunteer, stay on-site in our cafe, or go off-site.

Adult FAITH EXPLORATION

We have two ongoing classes for adults: the ADULT BIBLE STUDY CLASS and the NEW LIFE IN CHRIST CLASS. The classes usually run in six-week sessions, changing topics and leaders for each session. It is not necessary to attend a class at the beginning of a session.

• The Adult Bible Study Class is a smaller group that studies and discusses in an informal, friendly setting in our Library.
• The New Life in Christ Class is a larger group and usually opens with a presentation or video in our New Life in Christ room, and then breaks into smaller groups for discussion.  We look forward to spending an hour of study in the Bible and other materials, with frank and open discussions about the implications of Jesus and our beliefs for living in today's world.​

Nursery

Our Sunday morning NURSERY CARE during worship is staffed by well-trained paid-staff and dedicated volunteers who enjoy caring for infants and toddlers. The nursery is open for all services to assist parents with children age 4 and younger and our sign-in/sign-out system assures their safety  Arrive a little early to complete a registration form or register online by clicking here.  We always welcome new volunteers.  Contact:  Michelle Olson at [email protected]

Confirmation

CONFIRMATION is a special time in a young person’s life.  Here at Westminster, we offer confirmation for youth who are entering the eighth grade.  In confirmation we delve into the teachings and practices of the Christian Faith.  

In addition to participating in the classes, confirmands are required to be in worship once a week, participate in youth group, and also participate in a mission opportunity. 

Our pastors and youth directors will be responsible for teaching our classes and each confirmand will have the opportunity to chose a mentor.

Shipley Memorial Library

Our SHIPLEY MEMORIAL LIBRARY is located on the main/upper floor of the Parish House, accessible from the Martha Manahan Room hallway (just outside the Sanctuary).  The library contains a wealth of reference materials, fiction and non-fiction.
