Children and youth Sunday School
Adult Sunday School
We have three ongoing classes for adults: The DISCUSSION CLASS, NEW LIFE IN CHRIST CLASS and CONTEMPORARY LIVING CLASS. The classes usually run in six-week sessions, changing topics and leaders for each session. It is not necessary to attend a class at the beginning of a session.
Our Sunday morning NURSERY is staffed by well-trained paid-staff and dedicated volunteers who enjoy caring for infants and toddlers. The nursery is open for all services to assist parents with children age 4 and younger and our sign-in/sign-out system assures their safety Arrive a little early to complete a registration form or register online by clicking here. We always welcome new volunteers. Contact: Michelle Olson at M.Olson@wumcmd.org
Wednesday evenings, 6:30-8pm
CONFIRMATION is a special time in a young person’s life. Here at Westminster, we offer confirmation for youth who are entering the eighth grade. In confirmation we delve into the teachings and practices of the Christian Faith. This Fall, Confirmation will be offered on Wednesday evenings, 6:30–8pm.
In addition to participating in the classes, confirmands are required to be in worship once a week, participate in youth group, and also participate in a mission opportunity.
Our pastors and youth directors will be responsible for teaching our classes and each confirmand will have the opportunity to chose a mentor.
We are currently involved in our Class of 2018. For information regarding current or future classes, please contact Pastor Malcolm, firstname.lastname@example.org or 410-660-6606.
Shipley Memorial Library
Our SHIPLEY MEMORIAL LIBRARY, located on the first floor of the Parish House, contains a wealth of reference materials, fiction and non-fiction. Click here to access our online catalog (you will be redirected to LibraryThing.com). The library is always open and books may be checked out and taken home. Adjoining the library is our History Room that contains interesting displays of items representing the history of our church.
