The Church and Society team works to identify areas in which our society creates unfairness, and to lead our congregation to be serious advocates for peace and justice. Our team works to be advocates within our community of Westminster, and the larger world, for actions that will improve the lives of all.

​The UMC has made this a major focus for our role as disciples, creating a global team for advocacy. It has established the General Board of Church and Society to lead the effort for the global church. As a guide for what the UMC believes discipleship requires, it has established the Social Principles.
